Egyptian security sources reported Sunday that four African persons were shot and killed by Egyptian Border Guards while trying to infiltrate into Israel, apparently seeking work.The sources claimed that the four “defied order to surrender, and insisted on attempting to cross into Israeli territory”.
The identity and nationality of the four remained unidentified, but are believed to be from Sudan.
The incident took place when the four attempted to cross into Israel through border marker number 7, south of the Rafah Border Terminal.
Their bodies were moved to the morgue of the Al Arish Governmental Hospital.
