At three o’clock Wednesday morning, a Palestinian theatre was attacked by the Israeli military.KBOO spoke with Jonatan Stanczak, oneof the theatre’s co-founders, who witnessed the attack.The Jenin Freedom Theatre is renowned worldwide for its work for peace and cultural development in the Jenin refugee camp, which is one of the hardest-hit places in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
It was in the news several months ago when one of the theatre’s founders, Israeli peacemaker Juliano Mer Khamis was murdered outside the theatre.
That killing remains unsolved until today.
