Palestinian leaders are set to meet in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on Thursday to follow up the reconciliation agreement and the reforms of the Palestinian National Council.Chiefs of Palestinian factions and leaders of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PL0) and speaker of the Palestinian National Council in addition to some independent Palestinian figures are set to meet in Cairo to discuss the latest political developments and the ongoing efforts toward Palestinian reconciliation.
A Palestinian informed source said that Reconciliation and evaluation of the performance of the committees which emerged from the Cairo agreement in addition to the election of a new leadership to the Palestinian National Council will dominate the agenda.
The conveners would address the formation of a technocrat government to be headed by Abbas as agreed in Doha between Abbas and Hamas chief Khalid Mashaal.
