Palestinian medical sources reported that two men were killed and twelve others were wounded, on Thursday before noon, after a siege-busting tunnel collapsed, east of the Sheikh Zayed area, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestinian sources about 200 Palestinians have been killed in similar tunnel incidents, and more than 800 have been injured since 2006. The Palestinians started digging tunnels and after Israel enforced its deadly siege on the coastal region.

The siege has left Gazan hospitals out of basic and specialized supplies and equipment, an issue that has led to the death of more than 400 patients, including infants and children.

In other news Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Wednesday at night, six Palestinian fishermen in Palestinian territorial waters, near the as-Sudaniyya area, northwest of Gaza City.

Local sources reported that several Israeli Navy ships surrounded three small Palestinian fishing boats before opening fire at them and ordering the fishermen to remove their clothes and swim towards the navy boats.

Earlier on Thursday Palestinian groups in Gaza announced a truce with Israel Following days of strikes and counterattacks between Israeli military forces and local groups. During the attacks nine Palestinians including two children were killed by Israeli air raids targeting Gaza.

Meanwhile in the West Bank Israeli troops took over water wells in Wadi Al Malih area in the Jordan valley on Thursday. Local sources reported that the wells are used by local farmers. 10 families were left without water for their livestock and farms, local sources added.
