Israeli occupation forces began the expansion of Daniel and Eliezer settlements south of Bethlehem on Wednesday.Ahmad Salah, Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against Settlements in al-Khader told WAFA News that the Israeli military has seized hundreds of dunums of agricultural land in the town of al-Khader in order to connect the two illegal Israeli outposts of Daniel and Eliezer.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces began building new houses there after confiscating land from farmers over the past several weeks.
All Israeli settlements are illegal under international law and the seizure of civilian land and property by the military is a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention which states that an occupying force may not confiscate civilian property or transfer its population into occupied territory.
