The Israeli army, bombed late on Wednesday evening a former security base located south of Gaza City causing excessive damage.The Palestinian Information Center reported that an Israeli F-16 war jet fired one missile into the former Third Platoon security base, north of Ash-Shuhada junction, south of Gaza City. The missile caused damage but no injuries.

One hour after the first strike, the army fired another missile into the base causing further damage; no casualties were reported.

Earlier on Wednesday at dawn, the Israeli Air Force carried out two strikes targeting two centers used by fighters of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement. The shelling led to excessive damage but no injuries.
