Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that a Palestinian died of wounds sustained when the Israeli army fired missiles into Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, on Wednesday. Eight Palestinians have been killed and more than 13 have been wounded since Monday.Dr. Ashraf Al-Qodra, spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, reported that the latest casualty was identified as Ahmad Herzallah; he was seriously injured by Israeli missiles and died of his wounds.
Al-Qodra added that the death of Herzallah brings the total of Palestinians killed by Israeli shells since Monday to eight, while at least 13 Palestinians have been injuries, including some who suffered moderate and severe injuries.
The Israeli escalation against the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this month led to the death of 14 Palestinians, while at least 33 have been injuries, some seriously.
