Local sources in Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, report that dozens of Israeli military jeeps have invaded the city and Azzoun town, nearby, violently breaking into homes and ransacking the property before kidnapping two Palestinians. The sources state that the soldiers kidnapped Abdullah J’eidy, from the J’eidy neighborhood in Qalqilia, and Hamada Sa’id Radwan, 17, from Azzoun. Eyewitnesses in Azzoun said that the soldiers destroyed the front door of the home of Yousef Shbeita, who is currently in the United Arab Emirates, and ransacked his property, causing excessive damage.
Furthermore, dozens of soldiers have invaded Qabatia town, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and kidnapped Islam Nasry Abu Ar-Rob, 25. Also in Jenin, the soldiers prevented Ata Abu Ermeila, Secretary of the Fateh movement in Jenin, from travelling to Jordan, ordering him to head to the Salem military base for interrogation.
Soldiers also invaded Doha city, in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, broke into and searched several homes, and kidnapped three Palestinians identified as Mohammad Khallaf, 22, Amir Fadel Daghameen, 17, and Ibrahim Khader Masalma, 43.
Two Palestinians were also kidnapped by the army in Doura town, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, after the army broke into their homes and ransacked the property. The two have been identified as Shadi Rasmi Masalma, 20, and Issa Bader Salman, 21.
In related news, soldiers invaded the Aqraba village, southeast of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and served residents military orders informing them that Israel will be confiscating five dunams of land in the area. Palestinian officials say that Israel is likely planning to illegally confiscate hundreds of dunams in the area, for use in its illegitimate settlement activities, and for what Tel Aviv calls “security considerations”.
In the Gaza Strip, Israeli Navy boats have attacked a Palestinian fishing boat, near the Rafah Shore, in the southern part of Gaza, kidnapping three fishermen. Eyewitnesses state that the navy surrounded a fishing boat carrying three Palestinians, and ordered them to jump out of the boat and swim towards the navy ship. Two of the kidnapped have been identified as Mahmoud Mohammad Hassouna, and Ahmad Khalil Hassouna.
The attack is part of daily assaults carried out by the Israeli navy in Palestinian waters. Dozens of fishermen have been kidnapped, numerous casualties have been reported, and many boats have been confiscated or destroyed.
