Monday, at Dawn [December 2, 2013] Israeli soldiers have kidnapped eight Palestinians in Ya’bod village near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, two Palestinians in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, and one near Bethlehem.Local sources in the West Bank city of Bethlehem have reported that dozens of soldiers invaded the Teqoua’ village, east of Bethlehem, and kidnapped a Palestinian teenager.The sources said that Atiyya Suleiman Sabah, 18, was kidnapped from his home after the soldiers broke into it and searched it.
Local sources in Jenin have reported that the army invaded Ya’bod, and kidnapped Mohammad Adnan Abu Baker, 32, a member of the Village Council. The army also kidnapped Samir Nayef Atatra, 45, Ahmad Sharif Hamarsha, 36, Alaa’ Riyadh Hamarsha, 27, Jalal Riyadh Hamarsha, 43, Ziad Ali Amarna, 53, Mohammad Ali Badarna, 40, and Ahmad Mohammad Atatra, 20.
The soldiers violently broke into the homes of the kidnapped Palestinians and ransacked their property.
Ya’bod has been subject to daily assaults carried out by Israeli soldiers and settlers, as settlers carried out, over the last two months, dozens of attacks targeting the residents, their property and their lands, including cutting and uprooting olive trees close to the nearby Mabo Dotan illegal settlement.
Also on Monday at dawn, dozens of soldiers invaded the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and kidnapped Issa Abu Torky, 57.
His family said that the soldiers violently broke into their home, and ransacked its property while searching it, in addition to forcing the entire family into one room before taking him to an unknown destination.
Soldiers further invaded Sa’ir town, east of Hebron, broke into and searched the home of Tamer Rasmy Jaradat, 35, and kidnapped him.
In related news, soldiers installed a number of random roadblocks in different parts of the occupied West Bank, stopped hundreds of Palestinian vehicles, and interrogated dozens of residents while inspecting their ID cards.
The attacks are part of daily and escalating Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, their lands and property.
