[Tuesday Evening, January 21, 2014] Israeli soldiers kidnapped two Palestinians at a military roadblock, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and one near the central West Bank city of Ramallah.Eyewitnesses said that a number of soldiers installed a roadblock at the Jenin-Jaffa road, close to the Salem Israeli military base, and kidnapped one Palestinian after detaining and interrogating him at the roadblock for more than an hour.
The kidnapped Palestinian has been identified as Mahmoud Jamal Mahameed, 27 years of age, from Rommana village, near Jenin.
His arrest comes less than 24 hours after the soldiers kidnapped three Palestinians in the village.
Local sources said the soldiers stopped and searched dozens of vehicles, harassing several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
On Tuesday night, more than four armored military vehicles invaded Msalya village, south of Jenin, and fired gas bombs at local youth, who hurled stones at them.
Furthermore, soldiers kidnapped the son of Hasan Al-‘Oury, a legal affairs adviser of Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, in Beit Ur al-Tahta village, west of Jenin.
Al-‘Oury said that the soldiers kidnapped his son, Anas, 16, and took him to an unknown destination.
A few days ago, soldiers detained Al-’Oury at a roadblock leading to Jerusalem, and revoked an entry permit he carried.
