[Tuesday Evening, February 11, 2014] Israeli soldiers invaded the Nabi Saleh village, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, clashed with local residents, and kidnapped a Palestinian cameraman.Eyewitnesses said that soldiers kidnapped Bilal Tamimi as he was documenting the clashes, and violently attacked him before taking him to an unknown destination.
The soldiers also took his cameras, and tried to smash them, according to local sources.
The incident took place after the soldiers invaded the village, and destroyed a flagpole where a Palestinian flag was raised.
The soldiers fired several gas bombs, rubber-coated metal bullets and concussion grenades at several homes in the village, causing dozens of residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Nabi Saleh is one of many Palestinian villages active in protests against the illegal Israeli Annexation Wall and Israel’s illegitimate settlements, and is repeatedly surrounded and invaded by the soldiers.
