Israeli army and settlers prevented, on Sunday, Palestinian farmers in the village of Assakrah, east of Bethlehem, from entering their land to plant it under the pretext of it being ‘State Property’, according to local sources.WAFA reports that the head of Taqou village council, Taysir Abu Mifreh, said that both soldiers and settlers prevented the farmers from planting olive shrubs in their plot which is adjacent to Tekoa’ settlement, built illegally on Taqou village land.
He said that soldiers warned to arrest the farmers, in case they return to plant their plot, and threatened to uproot the trees.
