Israeli warplanes targeted an area east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, today, according to the Israeli army.’An IDF aircraft targeted a launching site which was used to fire four mortars into southern Israel at 6 p.m. this evening. A direct hit was confirmed,’ said a spokeswoman.
No injuries have been reported.
Ma’an further reports that eight rockets were fired from Gaza following the strike. One was intercepted; the others landed in open areas, causing neither damage nor injury.
Additionally, earlier in the day, three mortar shells were reportedly fired from Gaza into the Eshkol regional council, southern Israel.
No damage or injuries reported.
