Death toll reaches 179 as Israeli continues to attack the Gaza Strip, meanwhile in the West Bank, Israeli soldiers shoot and kill one civilian. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
On Monday Israeli attacks targeting the Gaza strip left six Palestinians killed at least 40 other injured, Palestinian sources reported.
According to local sources thousands of residents have taken refuge in UN run school in the costal enclave after Israel’s fighter jets stepped up bombardment targeting residents homes and civilians insulations, including hospitals and schools.
From Gaza, IMEMC’s Rami Al Meghari described the situation:
As of the time of this report the death toll due to the continued Israeli offensive on Gaza have reached 179 killed and more 1200 injured. Among those killed since the Israeli attacks started last Tuesday there are 37 children, Palestinian medical sources announced.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli soldiers shoot and killed a Palestinian young man during an invasion targeting the Sammoua’ town, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
Medical sources said the soldiers fired rounds of live ammunition at Monir Ahmad Hamdan al-Badarin, 21, causing serious injuries, then prevented medics from reaching him, instead forcing the young man to bleed to death 40 minutes later.
Earlier on Monday at dawn Israeli soldiers invaded different Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped 11 legislators, and several other Palestinians.
Invasions and home searches were reported in the northern West Bank desctricts of Jenin, Tulkarem and Salfit. Meanwhile invasions were also reported in Hebron and Bethlehem cities, southern West Bank.
Dozens of Palestinians have been treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation in Hebron, while many were shot by live rounds and rubber-coated metal bullets, in clashes in Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarem, Salfit and Ramallah.
