Israeli offensive on Gaza enters it eighth day, Death toll reaches 196. Meanwhile in the West Bank, invading Israeli soldiers continue to clash with local youth. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Palestinian medical sources announced that a Palestinian old man and a worker were killed on Tuesday afternoon in two different Israeli air attacks targeting central and southern Gaza Strip.

The death toll up until the time of this report have reached more than 196 and more than 1500 injured since Israeli started its attacks on Gaza seven days ago.

The sources added that 40% of those killed since last week are children. Moreover among the 1500 injured there are 500 children, medical sources announced.

An Israeli civilian was killed by rocket fire coming from Gaza, on Tuesday, according to the Israeli army. This is the first Israeli death reported during the eight days of cross-border violence.

The man was fatally wounded near Erez crossing at the borders with Gaza, the Israeli army said.
On the political level, The Israeli security cabinet reportedly agreed to a ceasefire agreement proposed by the Egyptian government, on Tuesday.

However leaders with the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza said that no one had contacted them to negotiate any ceasefire. Despite claims of having agreed to a ceasefire, Israeli bombardment continued to pound Gaza on Tuesday morning.

Elsewhere, clashes continued between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian youth in a number of West Bank communities.

Local sources said that Israeli forces invaded the central West Bank city of Ramallah as well as Hebron and Bethlehem city in southern west Bank.

Earlier on Tuesday at dawn, Israeli troops invaded, the city of Bethlehem, and kidnapped one legislator, and three other civilians.
