In the pre-dawn hours on Friday, the Israeli army fired missiles and shells into dozens of homes, residential buildings, medical facilities and other areas in different parts of the Gaza Strip, killing seventeen Palestinians, and wounding dozens of residents.update:
Eyad Nassr Sharab died of his wounds at Nassar Hospital in Khan Younis on Friday morning.
A woman identified as Najat an-Najjar, 35, died of her wounds at the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Younis. Five others were wounded in Bani Sahelia, in Khan Younis, when they were targeted by an Israeli airstrike.
Also in Khan Younis, an Israeli missile killed:
Sharif Mohammad Hasan, 27, Khan Younis.
Mohammad Khalil Hamad, 18, Khan Younis.
Mandouh Ibrahim ash-Shawaf, 25, Khan Younis.
These are in addition to the twelve casualties listed below.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that two children were killed after an Israeli shell struck their home in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
They have been identified as:
1. Abdul-Hadi Salah Abu Hasanen, 9, Rafah.
2. Hadi Salah ed-Deen Abu Hassanen, 12. Rafah.
Also in Khan Rafah, a father and his child were killed, and at least fourteen others were injured, some seriously, after Israeli shells struck homes in the city. The victims have been identified as:
3. Salah Ahmad Hassanen, 45, Rafah.
4. Abdul-Aziz Salah Ahmad Hassanen, 15, Rafah.
Two Palestinians were killed in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip after Israeli missiles struck their homes, in Khan Younis, and one woman died of earlier wounds. They have been identified as:
5. Mohammad Ibrahim al-Khatib, 27, Khan Younis.
6. Mohammad Samir Najjar, 25, Khan Younis.
7. Rasmiyya Salama, 24, Khan Younis.
A young man was also killed after the army fired missiles into homes in the eastern area of Khan Younis, while a number of residents were injured. He has been identified as:
8. Suleiman ash-Shawwaf, 21, Khan Younis.
A Palestinian woman also died of serious injuries suffered after the Israeli army bombarded her home, and many other homes, in northern Gaza. The slain woman has been identified as”
9. Rasha Abed-Rabbo ‘Affana, 25, northern Gaza.
In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles hit several homes, while elderly man was killed, and many were injured. The slain man has been identified as”
10. Ali Mohammad Asfour, 58, Khan Younis.
Another Palestinian was killed in ongoing Israeli bombardment of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, he has been identified as:
11. Eid Mohammad Abu Qteifan, 23, Deir al-Balah.
A young woman was seriously wounded, and died of her injuries later on at the al-Aqsa Brigades Hospital, in Deir al-Balah. She had been seriously wounded after the army bombarded her home, several family members were also injured. She has been identified as:
12. Maram Najeh Fayyad, 26, Deir al-Balah.
At least seven Palestinians have been injured, one seriously, when the army fired a missile into a home belonging to the Sheikh family, in Deir al-Balah.
Soldiers continued to deliberately attack hospitals and medical centers, and attacked on Friday, Mohammad ad-Dorra Hospital in Gaza City, causing excessive property damage.
The Ministry of Health denounced the attack, and also denounced another attack targeting an ambulance driving from Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis to the Gaza-European Hospital.
There were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the attack, while ambulance driver, and another medic, jumped out of the ambulance before the Israeli missile hit it.
The Ministry said Israeli attacks and bombardment of hospitals, medical centers, ambulances and medics, are an ongoing Israeli practice that violates International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and all related treaties.
Fourteen Palestinians have been killed by Israeli missiles and shells Friday, while the number of Palestinian killed since the beginning of Israel’s latest war on Gaza, on July 8, is 815 Palestinians, and more than 5240 have been injured, the Ministry of Health said.
