The Palestinian Ministry of Public Works and Housing has stated that Gaza needs five thousand caravans, in order to provide shelter more than 130,000 displaced peoples.“It is so important to pay careful attention to the housing sector, especially after the mass destruction in the southern provinces caused by the Israeli aggression”, said Deputy minister Faeq al-Deek.
According to Al Ray Palestinian Media Agency, approximately 130,000 Gaza residents have been made homeless, and more than 4,000 housing units were destroyed in the 51-day Israeli assault on the region, the ministry stated.
Over 2,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 10,000 injured in more than a month of devastating Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, beginning the first week of July.
