An Israeli settler, on Monday, ran over a Palestinian youngster from Ethna village, south Hebron, and fled the scene.The resident was identified as a member of the Batran family, from Ethna, and suffered moderate wounds after the settler ran into him and left him lying on the ground, the Palestine News Network (PNN) has reported.
The youth was moved to hospital by the villagers.
In a similar incident, on February 1st, an Israeli settler ran over a Palestinian citizen near the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron.
Hit and run incidents by Israeli settlers have become widely common against Palestinians.
On Jan 24th, an Israeli settler ran over 5-year-old Nabeel Hasan Drobi near Tulkarm, and fled the scene.
Before that, an Israeli settler ran over 8-year-old Ali Qrei’esh, near Hebron.
Back in October, Enas Shawkat Khalil, age 5, from Sinjil village near Ramallah, was pronounced dead in Ramallah Public hospital after an Israeli settler ran over her with his car, causing her severe injuries and then running away.
Over 500,000 Israeli settlers now live across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law.
