The Israeli Military Police stated Monday it apprehended an Israeli soldier from the Central District after writing Facebook posts on his page threatening to assassinate leaders of Israeli leftist parties. According to the report, the soldier threatened that, should the left rise to power in the Israeli election; he will then become what he called “the second Yigal Amir.”
The soldier confessed to the charges against him, and will be soon indicted for incitement to commit violence, and issuing death threats, the Radio Bethlehem 2000 has reported.
Yigal Amir is the Israeli fanatic who, on November 4, 1995, assassinated the then Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin during a rally in Tel Aviv.
