Israeli soldiers attack farm lands in Gaza and settlers assault farmers near Jerusalem. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli soldiers, stationed on military towers across the border with the Gaza Strip, fired on Tuesday morning, several rounds of live ammunition on homes and lands, in border areas of the coastal region.
The attack did not lead to casualties, but forced the residents to leave their lands, and homes, fearing additional escalation.
In addition, the Israeli army said it arrested two young Palestinian men near the border fence, east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza.
Eyewitnesses said the two tried to enter Israeli to search for work, especially under the dire conditions, destruction and poverty in the besieged Gaza Strip, and were taken prisoner, just as they crossed the border fence.
On Monday morning, soldiers stationed across the border fence with Gaza, fired rounds of live ammunition at Palestinian homes, and farmlands, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Damage was reported but no injuries.
Elsewhere, Israeli settlers attacked on Tuesday midday two Palestinian youth near the village of Jaba near occupied Jerusalem.
According to villagers the two young men were working on their lands when a group of settlers attacked them with empty bottles and batons. The two youth sustained light wounds according to local sources.
On Tuesday morning, Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian man from the northern West Bank city of Jenin, installed a roadblock near the city, as the army conducted several hours of training.
Also on Tuesday, soldiers invaded various neighborhoods in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and installed roadblocks on the main entrances of Sa’ir and Halhoul towns, before searching dozens of cars, and inspecting the ID cards of the passengers.
On Monday evening, Israeli soldiers installed a mobile home on bulldozed Palestinian lands, near the main entrance of Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, in the area where Israeli is bulldozing the lands to build a settlement “industrial zone.”
