Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning, from Mughrabi Gate and amid tight security protection from private Israeli occupation police. The director of the media department at the Al Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage in Jerusalem, Mahmoud Abu Atta, said that around 35 extremist Israeli setters had broke into the mosque since the morning and that they were divided into groups who toured in different parts of its courtyards.
He explained that the settlers marched east, towards Marwani Mosque, and tried to steal stones in the area, but the mosque guards forced them to return them back.
Extremist Israeli settlers and politicians have been violating the sanctity of Al Aqsa Mosque on an almost daily basis, and always under the protection of armed occupation forces who often attack Palestinian worshipers who try to protect their holy site.
