Israeli jetfighters attack Gaza and in the West Bank army bulldozers demolish farms owned by Palestinians. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
The Israeli Air Force carried out, on Thursday at dawn, several air strikes targeting a number of areas, and resistance camps, in different parts of the Gaza Strip, causing excessive property damage but no injuries. Israel claims the bombardment came in retaliation to shells fired from Gaza.
The shelling came after Israeli fighter-jets conducted various flights over different parts of the Gaza Strip, firing flares, and causing sonic booms. The Israeli Army claimed that two shells, allegedly fired from Gaza, landed in open areas in the Shear HaNagev Regional Council of Settlements, and in open areas near Asqalan (Ashkelon.)
In the West Bank, a female Israeli settler ran over a Palestinian youth on Thursday morning, near the West Bank city of Salfit. Witnesses said that the settler approached the youth while he was walking on the platform of the main street in the city. “She hit him and ran away,” an eyewitness said, according to Days of Palestine.
Palestinian medical sources said that the man identified as Ahmed Sultan, age 22, was evacuated to Angelical Hospital in Nablus, by a Palestinian ambulance. Palestinian medical sources said the youth is suffering from a broken leg, face bruises and internal bleeding, as a result of the collision.
Israeli police said it would open investigation into the incident, but the family of the youth doubted the Israeli intention to achieve justice in the case.
Also on Thursday morning, Israeli forces demolished over 30 agricultural structures in the northern Jordan Valley local officials said.
Israeli bulldozers protected by military vehicles stormed an area known locally as Diraa Awwad near the Israeli military checkpoint Hamra. The Israeli forces demolished almost the whole area because the structures were built without a license.
On Thursday at dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, several Palestinian communities in different parts of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, stormed and searched dozens of homes and kidnapped at least twelve Palestinians. Soldiers also demolished wells and a wall in a town, near Hebron.
