Israeli forces opened fire on Thursday, towards the houses and lands of Palestinian farmers to the east of Maghazi refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip. Eyewitnesses reported, according to Al Ray, that the military opened heavy fire towards the lands of farmers who were close to the military location of Abo Safeya, as well as nearby homes east of the camp.

No casualties reported.

Farming in the Gaza Strip’s “buffer zone” is hazardous, under the best circumstances. Israeli forces routinely shoot live ammunition at Palestinian farmers in the ‘free-fire’ area, which stretches hundreds of meters into the besieged territory from the barrier between it and Israel, while invading their fields with tanks and bulldozers.
