After breaking the Gaza ceasefire Tuesday, Israeli forces continued their bombardment overnight, killing 100 Palestinian civilians, including 35 children, in a series of airstrikes targeting the homes and tents of displaced persons in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Update: The Palestinian Civil Defense Authority in Gaza announced that more than 100 Palestinians, including around 35 children, were killed in under 12 hours following a wave of Israeli airstrikes that targeted residential buildings and tents housing displaced families.

Among the victims was a 41-day-old infant who succumbed to critical injuries sustained during the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

The Civil Defense urgently called for a total and immediate halt to hostilities and demanded an end to the continued military aggression against Gaza.

It also appealed for the rapid establishment of secure humanitarian corridors to facilitate the delivery of fuel, equipment, and critical supplies needed by emergency and medical teams.

The PRCS stressed the importance of international protection for civilians, rescue workers, and healthcare personnel, in line with international humanitarian law.

In southern Gaza, Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the deaths of 20 individuals in Israeli air raids on Khan Younis.

Al-Jazeera reported heavy aerial bombardment targeting central and northern areas of Rafah, also located in the southern part of the Strip.

Medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital stated that five people were killed and several others injured when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced civilians in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza.

Israeli media reported loud explosions in the Gaza envelope region, attributing them to ongoing airstrikes by Israeli forces.

Israeli naval vessels and tanks continued to shell the coastline and agricultural zones of Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part.

Simultaneously, renewed airstrikes struck multiple neighborhoods in Gaza City and Khan Younis, marking further breaches of the ceasefire agreement.

The Baptist Hospital received the bodies of two Palestinians killed in an Israeli strike on a home in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast Gaza City.

Three additional Palestinians, including a young girl, were killed in a separate airstrike on a residence in the Yarmouk area of central Gaza.

Civil Defense teams also recovered four more bodies from beneath the rubble of the al-Banna family home in the Sabra neighborhood.

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip’s hospitals reported that the documented death toll as of this 8 am Wednesday morning reached 91, distributed as follows: Northern Gaza – 31 killed, central Gaza Strip – 42 killed and South Gaza – 18 killed. These numbers are likely to rise as a result of the presence of a number of serious injuries, and the continued search for missing persons under the rubble of destroyed homes.

WAFA correspondents reported that 18 civilians were killed in a single airstrike targeting a house belonging to the Abu Dalal family in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. A number of citizens are still missing under the rubble.

Below are the names of those killed in the bombing of Abu Dalal’s family home:

Yahya Amin Abu Dalal, Hala Al-Sabakhi (Abu Dalal), Muhammad Yahya Abu Dalal, Bayan Yahya Abu Dalal, Mustafa Yahya Abu Dalal, Amin Yahya Abu Dalal, Abeer Youssef Diab (Abu Dalal), Sham Amin Abu Dalal, Yahya Amin Abu Dalal, Nizar Azmi Abu Dalal, Majd Nizar Abu Dalal, Hanaa Al-Louh (Umm Badr Abu Dalal), Badr Nazmi Abu Dalal, Muhammad Nazmi Abu Dalal, Baraa Nazmi Abu Dalal, Duha Nazmi Abu Dalal, Raghad Nazmi Abu Dalal, and Misk Nazmi Abu Dalal.

“What did they do? What’s their fault? They were asleep…”

Two of the victims of the Abu Dallal family massacre were these 4-year old twins, a brother and a sister:

The Israeli occupation aircraft also bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the Insan camp, east of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah, which led to the killing of five citizens, including children: Islam Al-Batrikhi, Omar Sobhi Ruby, Uwais Sobhi Ruby, Shaima Sami Ruby, and Russell Sobhi Ruby.

In Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed a house belonging to the Abu Sharar family in Block 7, killing a child and injuring a number of people.

In Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli aircraft and drones targeted tents of displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area, resulting in casualties. Local sources report 3 women killed and a number of displaced people injured in Israeli shelling targeting a tent housing them near Roni Street in the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the bombing of a house belonging to the Al-Qudra family in the Al-Amal neighborhood resulted in the death of a citizen and a child. Five other citizens were also killed in a bombing that targeted a vehicle on one of the city’s streets.

Multiple Palestinians, including children, were reported as Israeli aircraft bombed a residential home near Al-Falah School in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

In Gaza City, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed a house of the Al-Banna family in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, killing four citizens, including a child and an infant, and wounding nine others, and a number of citizens are still under the rubble. Three citizens, including a child, were also killed in another raid that targeted a house near the Yarmouk area.

In Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, three citizens were killed and others were injured after a school housing displaced people was bombed, and a citizen was also killed and others were injured in a bombing that targeted a displaced person’s tent south of the Nuseirat camp.

Previously, medical sources announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 had risen to 68,531 killed, the majority of whom were children and women, in addition to 170,402 injured, while a number of victims are still under the rubble, amid great difficulties facing ambulance and rescue crews in reaching them.

The death toll and injuries since the October 11th ceasefire agreement reached 94 killed and 344 injured (not including the 63 killed overnight Tuesday through Wednesday dawn), while 474 bodies were recovered from under the rubble.

So far, 75 bodies have been identified out of 195 bodies recently handed over by the Israeli occupation, according to what medical sources in Gaza confirmed. Many of the Palestinian bodies that Israeli forces returned were mangled and tortured beyond all recognition.

A UN special rapporteur says it is unsurprising that Israel is again attacking Gaza despite the US-brokered ceasefire.

Francesca Albanese blamed UN member states for ignoring Israel’s genocide for the past two years despite efforts by international courts to rein in Prime Minister Netanyahu’s far-right government.

The International Court of Justice has called on Israel to allow aid into Gaza, announced its occupation of the Palestinian territory is unlawful, demanded the removal of troops and the dismantling of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, she noted.

“These are the red lines, and in the face of these member states are continuing playing this theatre of the absurd,” said Albanese.

“I am ashamed – not even as a lawyer but as a human being – because I know for the Palestinians in Gaza the genocide will not end, and for the Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem the violence by soldiers and settlers will not end as long as Israel is allowed to keep its boots on the ground, and control and determine the fate of the Palestinians.”

Although Israeli officials claimed that the bombing was retaliation for the death of an Israeli soldier in Rafah on Tuesday, there was no evidence presented that the soldier was killed by Palestinian fighters.

A more likely scenario is that the soldier was killed by Israeli unexploded ordnance. This was the case a week ago, when Israel launched a series of airstrikes following the death of two soldiers killed when their tank ran over a previously-laid Israeli airstrike.
