An Israeli settler, on Wednesday, levelled vast amounts of Palestinian-owned lands in the Bedouin al-Malihat area, northwest of Jericho, in the eastern occupied West Bank, local sources said.
Fatah official, Suleiman Malihat, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that an armed settler levelled 350 dunams (87 acres) of nearby Palestinian-owned land, while other illegal colonists looked on.
Only two weeks ago, armed colonial settlers razed 350 dunams in the same area near Jericho, to build a separation wall for an illegal outpost.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states that the occupying power [Israel] is forbidden from transferring parts of its own population onto the territory in which it occupies [Palestine].
