Israeli occupation forces abducted at least thirteen Palestinians from their homes, and injured a young man, during a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank late on Tuesday and earlier Wednesday.
In the town of Tarqumiyah, west of Hebron in the southern West Bank, a 24-year-old Palestinian was shot in the leg near the apartheid wall erected on local land. He was transferred to hospital with moderate injuries.
In addition, Israeli forces abducted two young men from Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. Media activist Mohammad Awad identified them as Rida Mahmoud Saleh Abu Ayyash (19) and Mohammad Tahrir Saket Al-Alami (22).
Occupation troops also invaded the towns of Ethna and Deir Samet, west of Hebron, firing live ammunition. No injuries or abductions were reported, but soldiers confiscated a civilian vehicle after erecting a military roadblock near the entrance to Ethna.
In the early hours of Wednesday, Israeli forces stormed Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, violently assaulting dozens of residents. Troops invaded homes, beat civilians, blindfolded and handcuffed them, and conducted field interrogations after converting the local youth center into a makeshift detention site. All detainees were later released.
During the same invasion, occupation forces fired live rounds at worshippers exiting a local mosque following dawn prayers; no injuries were reported.
Due to the military presence and violence, the Director of Education in northern Hebron, Bassam Jabr, announced the suspension of classes on Wednesday in schools across Al-Arroub camp, Al-Arroub Agricultural School, and Shiokh Al-Arroub. Classes will resume Thursday.
In central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Ahmad Mohammad Jadallah (19) from the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, west of Ramallah. Troops invaded his family home and ransacked its contents.
In occupied East Jerusalem, four Palestinians were abducted from the town of Hizma, northeast of the city.
Local sources confirmed that Israeli forces invaded the town and abducted Abdul-Qader Abu Sheikh and his son Yassin, along with Salim Khattab and his nephew, the child Khattab Sharaf Khattab, after storming and searching their homes.
In Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, the soldiers abducted former prisoner Mohammad Jalal Taqatqa (29) after invading and searching his father’s home. Troops also invaded the towns of Al-Khader and Al-Shawawra but did not report further abductions.
In Tulkarem, located in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted two siblings, Ahmad and Bara Sa’id Al-Husari, after invading their homes in the southern neighborhood of the city.
In Nablus, in northern West Bank, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers invaded the village of Furush Beit Dajan, east of the city.
Azem Al-Hajj Mohammad, head of the village council, reported that colonizers stormed the southern part of the village and threatened several Palestinian families, warning them they would be forcibly expelled from the area.
He added that the village has been subjected to repeated attacks by colonizers, carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
On Tuesday evening, occupation forces invaded the town of Ya’bad, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank. The soldiers spread through the streets, concentrated in the An-Nimir neighborhood, and stormed the home of citizen Maamoun An-Nimir. Infantry units fired live rounds during the invasion.
