Israeli forces abducted two Palestinian sisters on Thursday, and shot a young man on Wednesday, in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus.

Updated at 9:08 am July 18, 2024 – Media sources said that before dawn Thursday, occupation forces invaded the village of Tal, southwest of the city, and abducted the sisters, Aya and Shaima Omar Youssef Ramadan, after storming and searching their homes.

Media sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed several neighborhoods in Nablus city, stormed a building on Rafidia Street, in addition to a home on Al-Marij Street.

Southeast of the city, the army stormed the home of the detainee, Osama Issa in the town of Aqraba; no arrests were reported.

On Wednesday evening, Israeli forces shot a young man with live rounds in the leg, after invading the village of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said its ambulance crews treated a 19-year-old young man who sustained a live gunshot wound to his leg.

Media sources said that Israeli forces stormed the village of Beit Dajan, sparking protests, while soldiers fired live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at citizens.

It is important to mention that the army also invaded several neighborhoods in the towns and villages of Iraq Burin, Madama, and Burqa, in the Nablus governorate.

On Thursday Israeli drones dropped threatening flyers over the Jenin refugee camp, and stormed the the town of Qabatiya and the city of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that before dawn Thursday, occupation drones dropped flyers over the Jenin refugee camp, threatening to kill Palestinian young men, and commanding that wanted persons should turn themselves in to occupation forces.


Roughly translated, the flyers convey the following messages directed at wanted Palestinian resistance fighters and the citizens of the camp;

“Dear residents, Terrorism destroyed the camp. The militants in the camp are exploiting you and using the civilian area as a base for terrorism. They hide explosive devices and fire from homes and civilian institutions. Don’t stay still. For your safety, report.”

“You gunmen, Terrorism is the sure path to death. You have the chance to deliver yourself and live. Choose the correct one for your family. Surrender yourself!”

Sources added that occupation forces invaded the southern entrance to Jenin, and the town of Qabatiya, and erected flying military roadblocks near the towns and villages of Ya’bad, Qabatiya, Al-Jalama, ‘Arrana, Beit Qad, and ash-Shuhada, in the Jenin governorate.

Occupation forces deployed infantry units in the town of Qabatiya, south of the city, and set up ambushes in the vicinity.
