Israeli occupation forces invaded multiple areas across Ramallah and al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank’s central part early Tuesday, abducting at least eleven Palestinians and converting a mosque into a field interrogation site.
The soldiers stormed neighborhoods in al-Bireh city, including al-Balou’, the Industrial Zone, al-Masyoun, Umm al-Sharayet, and Jabal al-Tawil, as well as the al-Am’ari and al-Jalazoun refugee camps and the town of Kafr Ni’ma.
The al-Omari Mosque in al-Bireh was occupied by the soldiers, who used it as a makeshift interrogation center.
Those abducted from al-Bireh include Nimer Darbas, Mohammad Abed Hammouda, Yasser al-Shaf’i, Yousef Abed, Jamal Abu Musallam, Haitham Qar’an, and Abdul-Rahman Mitwalli. From al-Jalazone, the soldiers abducted Odai Nakhla, Qassam Nakhla, Adnan Ibrahim Hattab, and Ezzedine Safi.
Military vehicles also encircled Kafr Ni’ma town and the southern outskirts of the al-Am’ari refugee camp.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, closed streets and initiated searches.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Za’tara town, east of Bethlehem, before storming and ransacking many homes while interrogating several Palestinians and inspecting their ID cards.
In Salfit, in central West Bank, the soldiers stormed and ransacked several homes in the Zawiya and Qarawat Bani Hassan towns, west of the city, causing serious damage.
As of October 2025, Israel is holding over 21,000 Palestinians in prisons, military camps, and interrogation centers. This figure includes both sentenced prisoners and those held without charge under administrative detention.
Among them are more than 570 women, many of whom were abducted since October 7, 2023. At least 25 women are currently held under administrative detention, including lawyers, journalists, and a nursing mother.
Approximately 300 Palestinian children under the age of 18 are imprisoned, including 94 held in Megiddo Prison and 40 under administrative detention. At least 24 of the detained children are from Gaza. Since October 7, Israeli forces have abducted around 760 children in total.
From Gaza alone, at least 1,886 Palestinians are currently held as “unlawful combatants,” with their legal status and locations undisclosed. Thousands more are detained in military camps under conditions of enforced disappearance, without access to legal counsel or family contact.
Since the start of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, Israel has issued over 10,000 administrative detention orders, including renewals targeting children and women. Human rights organizations have documented widespread use of torture, denial of legal rights, and the suspension of Red Cross visits.
