On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers abducted eleven Palestinians and interrogated many others, during massive invasions and violent searches of property, in Tubas, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.

Bani Odah said the soldiers stormed and ransacked dozens of homes, causing damage, and interrogated many Palestinians.

He added that the soldiers abducted Aysar Izzat Hamed Maslamani,34, Amir Basem Najib Maslamani, 23, Qoteiba Jihad Suleiman Abu Bashara, 21, Ammar Ghaleb Mustafa Sawafta, 36, Abdul Salam Hassan Abdullah Bani Odah, 31, Mohammad Wael Ghazi Abdul-Razzaq, 21, Ahmed Bilal Mohammad Issa, 21, Ali Yasser Ahmad Bani Odeh, 38, Jihad Hassan Awad Anbousi, 35, Hilal Hassan Taher Daraghma, 32, and Sameeh Izzat Hamed Daraghma, 23.

The soldiers also detained and interrogated many Palestinians from Tubas and Tammoun nearby town and released them a few hours later.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army initiated an extensive offensive on Tubas, overnight and at dawn, Wednesday, deploying snipers on the roofs of several buildings that they have turned into military posts, in addition to destroying and vandalizing vehicles and properties of citizens in several neighborhoods of the city.

The soldiers also closed all entrances to the city, imposed a curfew, and continued the siege on the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas.

Earlier Wednesday morning, the Israeli army assassinated five Palestinians in an airstrike near the Al-Tawhid Mosque in Tubas, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.

The five slain Palestinians have been officially identified as:

  1. Mohammad Sa’id Hussein Sawafta, 19.
  2. Majd Burhan Jamil Sawafta, 23.
  3. Qais Saeb Rateb Sawafta, 24.
  4. Yassin Ahmad Ali Sawafta, 22.
  5. Tolba Mahmoud Jamil Bisharat, 18.

After assassinating the five Palestinians, the army carried out large-scale invasions of many neighborhoods in Tubas. The soldiers imposed a curfew on the city and spread to its northern areas, forcing the population into house arrest.

On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed two Palestinian citizens, including a woman, and injured at least eight others in Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank

Medical sources at the Tulkarem Governmental Hospital identified the slain citizens as Ahmad Jamal Ahmad Majdouba, 25, Heba Shahada Mosleh Halawa, 21.

Israel has now killed 699 Palestinians, including 159 children, 10 women, 1 journalist, 2 medics and 14 detainees, from the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.
