On Saturday, Israeli soldiers abducted at least sixteen Palestinians, including former political prisoners, from their homes in various parts of the occupied West Bank, and shot a child near Tulkarem.
The Palestinian Detainees’ Committee and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said the soldiers isolated entire Palestinian cities, villages, towns, and refugee camps, before invading them.
They added that the soldiers initiated massive and violent invasions and searches of dozens of homes, causing serious damage, and interrogated scores of Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
The abductions and invasions were mainly carried out in the governorates of Tulkarem, Nablus, Tubas, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army abducted more than 7.740 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023, including family members of Palestinians the soldiers wanted to abduct but couldn’t find them.
In related news, the soldiers shot a Palestinian child in Thannaba Suburb in Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, and invaded many villages and towns around Tulkarem city, leading to protests.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the wounded child, from Anabta town, east of Tulkarem, suffered moderate wounds and was rushed to a hospital in Tulkarem.
Protests were reported in various parts of the occupied West Bank, including in Hizam near occupied Jerusalem, Fahma near Jenin and the Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem.
In related news, the soldiers attacked many Palestinian farmers on their lands in the Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, and fired live rounds at them, forcing them to leave.
