Israeli forces attacked, on Friday, an anti-settlement demonstration in the village of Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that on Friday afternoon, occupation soldiers invaded the village and fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades towards non-violent protestors; no injuries were reported.
Local Palestinians gathered to march in solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip who have been under vicious bombardment by the Israeli occupation for more than eight months.
Participants denounced Israel’s continuous and lethal crimes against the people of Gaza and the ongoing colonization of the West Bank.
It is important to mention that the Israeli Security Cabinet authorized, on Friday, five illegal settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank.
Meanwhile the Higher Planning Council is expected to approve the construction of thousands of settlement units in the West Bank.
In related news, illegal paramilitary colonizers shot a Palestinian woman, assaulted a citizen, and burned citizens’ lands in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus.
Furthermore, a group of illegal Israeli colonizers attacked a Palestinian-owned home near the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
