On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers attacked dozens of Palestinians in a funeral procession in Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Local activist Mohammad Awad said the soldiers stopped the funeral procession and assaulted many Palestinians.

Awad said the Palestinians were trying to reach the graveyard at the entrance of the town before the soldiers closed the main iron gate at the entrance of the town and attacked them.

The attack led to protests before the army fired many gas bombs, causing dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
