Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday barred Palestinian farmers from reaching their olive orchards in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilia in the northern occupied West Bank, disrupting the seasonal harvest.

Troops stormed the village’s northwestern area, known as Qatayen, and stationed themselves at its entrance, preventing dozens of farmers from accessing their land. Many remained waiting at the roadblock, hoping to resume their agricultural work.

Earlier at dawn, Israeli forces invaded Qalqilia city through its eastern gate, deploying along Al-Wad Street and Route 22. They raided a building in the Shreim neighborhood before withdrawing and launching a separate incursion into the nearby town of Habla. No arrests were reported.

Across the occupied West Bank, Palestinian olive harvesters continue to face systematic assaults and obstruction by Israeli soldiers and illegal paramilitary colonizers. These attacks often involve physical violence, crop theft, and denial of access to farmland.

According to the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission, 158 assaults targeting olive harvesters have been documented since the start of this year’s season. Of these, 17 were carried out by Israeli forces, while 141 were perpetrated by colonizers.
