Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the “ceasefire” agreement in the Gaza Strip on Friday, carrying out artillery strikes, tank fire, and new ground incursions across several areas in the eastern, northern, and southern parts of the besieged enclave. Civilians were injured in multiple attacks, including strikes near hospitals, tented classrooms, and areas sheltering displaced families.
In the northern Gaza Strip, artillery units fired several shells northwest of Beit Lahia, while Israeli tanks opened heavy fire east of Jabalia, coinciding with artillery strikes around the Al‑Sahwa area in Jabalia refugee camp and intense shelling with illumination rounds near Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Additional artillery fire was reported northeast of Gaza City. Medical sources said two Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire in the Halawa area north of Gaza City.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles advanced southeast of Deir al‑Balah and carried out bulldozing operations using armored bulldozers and engineering vehicles to dig trenches, flatten land, destroy agricultural areas, remove debris, and clear terrain for troop movement.
Similar incursions took place near the Al‑Shakoush area north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, where tanks fired heavily near Al‑Teena Street. Israeli gunfire intensified again in the Al‑Shakoush area as the incursion expanded.
In Beit Lahia, Israeli troops demolished homes and the last remaining school in a four‑school compound, displacing families sheltering in tents on the grounds.
UN agencies confirmed additional ceasefire violations today and yesterday. OCHA reported that Israeli forces shot, on Thursday, a sixth‑grade student inside a tented classroom in Gaza City, injuring the child and prompting renewed warnings that schools and temporary learning spaces remain unsafe under ongoing Israeli fire.

UN humanitarians also reported that Israeli attacks continue to strike civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities.
A recent Israeli strike near Al‑Aqsa Hospital destroyed critical medical supplies, including items delivered by the World Health Organization, worsening already severe shortages of insulin, dialysis materials, cardiac treatment supplies, and infection‑control equipment.
In a statement on August 6, Louise Wateridge, a senior emergency officer for the United Nations said: “300 days of the ceasefire in #Gaza has seen at least 300 children killed. “The world calls it a ceasefire, but families in Gaza are still burying their children.”

On Friday, OCHA stated that Gaza remains unsafe for civilians, with Israeli attacks continuing despite the ceasefire, including shelling, gunfire, and naval fire across multiple districts.
UNRWA and OCHA warned that displaced families face overcrowded shelters, limited access to safe water, and rising protection risks, while humanitarian partners struggle to maintain safe access and adequate funding for emergency services.

Israeli forces continue to violate the “ceasefire” agreement through repeated air and artillery strikes targeting displaced families, demolition operations inside the so‑called “yellow zone,” and ongoing restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 10, 2025, has risen to 1,256, with 4,125 injured and 806 bodies recovered from under the rubble.
The overall toll of the genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached at least 73,382 Palestinians killed and more than 174,236 injured, underscoring the immense human cost of the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Strip.
