On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers demolished a home and a commercial building in Beit Hanina town, north of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.
Soheib Rawajba said the soldiers invaded the town before forcing him and his family out of their home and demolishing the building.
Rawajba added that the 140 square-meter home was built 23 years ago and housed nine family members.
He stated that Israel is using its emergency laws due to the offensive on Gaza to demolish homes and buildings without official procedures and appeals.
“The occupation demolished our dreams, but we shall remain steadfast in Jerusalem,” Rawajba said, “Israel did not even issue a demolition order, yet the soldiers demolished our home and didn’t even allow us to remove our furniture and belongings.”
In addition, the soldiers demolished a company and its warehouses owned by Palestinians from the local Qteish family.
The Palestinians were not allowed to remove anything from the demolished company before the soldiers demolished it.
