Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday afternoon demolished two Palestinian homes in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, displacing families, and assaulting residents.

Jamal Sabatin, head of the Husan Village Council, stated that a military force accompanied by bulldozers and heavy machinery invaded the village and stationed itself in the Shu’ab Hammad area.

Soldiers then demolished a two‑story home belonging to Ali Muhammad Ali Hamamra, with each floor measuring 200 square meters.

Shortly afterward, they proceeded to demolish the three‑story home of his brother, Bara’ Hamamra.

Rami Hamamra, director of the village council, reported that Israeli forces also severely beat the brothers’ father, Mohammad Ali Hamamra, leaving him with bruises and injuries across his body.

It is worth mentioning that the army refused to allow the families to remove their furniture and belongings from the homes before demolishing them. The soldiers also demolished an agricultural structure during the invasion.

The demolitions lead to protests before the soldiers fired rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

In related news, the soldiers demolished three inhabited homes in Khirbet Khallet al‑Farra, one of the Palestinian hamlets west of Yatta in the southern Hebron district, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, displacing several families.

The demolitions in Husan form part of a broader policy of destruction and displacement carried out by Israeli authorities in the occupied West Bank, targeting Palestinian communities and homes under the pretext of lacking building permits, while simultaneously expanding illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizer settlements in the area.
