Earlier Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army demolished the family home of the slain Jerusalemite Palestinian Mohammad Ghaleb Shehab, 26, in the town of ar-Ram, north of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

After midnight, the occupation forces invaded ar-Ram from several main directions, spreading throughout its neighborhoods.

They then stormed Shehab’s home and its surroundings, evacuating the area. Hours later, after planting explosives, they carried out the demolition in the early hours of the morning.

Residents reported that the soldiers stormed several homes near Shehab’s residence, forcing immediate evacuations and instructing residents to stay out of their homes until after 10 a.m.

Residents added that the soldiers conducted violent searches, caused damage to several homes in ar-Ram, and abducted several Palestinians in the town.

The Palestinians who were forced out of their homes headed to a local mosque for shelter.

The demolition of Shehab’s home caused significant damage to nearby houses, streets, and several parked vehicles.

It is worth noting that Shehab was killed on July 14, 2024, after the army alleged he carried out a car-ramming attack that resulted in the killing one Israeli officer and wounding three others, near the city of Ramla, before he was fatally shot.

His body has not been returned to his family for burial. The demolition order, widely criticized as an act of illegal collective punishment, was issued earlier this year.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Monday evening that the citizen, Wael Basem Mohammad Ghafri, 48, died after exposure to toxic tear gas fired by the occupation army who were protecting illegal Israeli colonizers.
