Israeli occupation forces escalated their military restrictions around the city of Qalqilia, in the northern occupied West Bank, beginning at around seven o’clock on Wednesday morning, severely disrupting the movement of Palestinian residents.

Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers installed a military roadblock at the southern entrance to Qalqilia, preventing residents from entering or leaving the city.

The army also closed the eastern entrance by shutting the iron gate there and established an additional military roadblock to search Palestinians entering the city, causing heavy traffic congestion and long delays.

In the same context, Israeli forces invaded an agricultural area east of Qalqilia, where they obstructed the work of Palestinian farmers by stopping them and interrogating them in their fields.

Military vehicles also drove through the town of Azzun and the village of Asla, east of Qalqilia, and deployed along the Qalqilia–Nablus Road.

It is worth mentioning that Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank at dawn on Wednesday, breaking into homes, abducting Palestinians, and imposing movement restrictions in several districts, including Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilia, Bethlehem, Jericho, and Tubas.
