On Monday night, Israeli forces executed four Palestinian young men, and shot eight others, in the town of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Health announced that it was informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs, that Israeli soldiers killed Mohammad Raslan Abdo, Mohammad Jaber Abdo, and Rushdi Samih Ataya, while local sources identified the fourth slain young man as Wassam Bassam Zidane.
Media sources said that an undercover Israeli unit (Musta’ribeen) infiltrated the town of Kafr Ni’ma, opened fire with live ammunition towards a vehicle carrying four Palestinian young men, executing them all, before occupation forces confiscated their bodies.
Israeli forces stormed the town after the shooting, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths, while armed resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army.
The Ministry of Health added that eight young men were transported to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, all of whom were suffering from live gunshot wounds inflicted on them by the army; their injuries were described as mild to moderate.
The Arab 48 News website quoted a joint statement between Israeli police and the army claimed that with the assistance of the Shin Bet, Israel’s intelligence agency, the army conducted an operation to “arrest one of the saboteurs who attempted to carry out an operation against the Jews and set fire to a trailer in ‘Sde Ephraim’.”
It is important to mention that the “Sde Ephraim” colonial outpost, built on expropriated lands near the village of Ras Karkar, like all Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, are illegal under International Law.
The occupation army regularly provides protection to the illegal colonizers while they set fire to Palestinian-owned homes and property.
The statement alleged that only one of the slain young men was a suspect, and claimed that the four attempted to escape and run over undercover agents.
They also claimed that the other three men were “terrorists”, without accusing them of a crime, and added that soldiers found a weapon, and explosive devices in the vehicle.
Arab 48 also quoted Israeli Army Radio who said that occupation forces and Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire during the military incursion, and added that one soldier was “slightly injured by fire from our forces”.
It was also noted that Israeli forces impeded the work of ambulance crews that were trying to reach those who were injured during the assassination operation.
In related news, Israeli forces shot and killed, Youssef Samih Abdel Karim Abdel Dayem, 21, on Monday, and abducted one, in the Dhanaba suburb, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Meanwhile, in the Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian child identified as Mahmoud Ibrahim Nabrisi, 15, injured six others, and abducted five young men from the city of Tubas.
