Israeli occupation forces invaded several areas across Hebron governorate, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, on Thursday, injuring an elderly woman and abducting four Palestinians.
In the town of Beit Awwa, south of Hebron, troops stormed the home of the Masalma family near a military tower and fired toxic tear gas inside the property.
Zahra Masalma, an elderly resident, suffered severe suffocation and was taken to hospital for treatment. During the same invasion, Israeli soldiers abducted her son, Mizhir Awad Abdel-Mahdi.
In addition, Israeli forces also invaded the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron, and abducted Naif Hijazi Jaradat, Nael Hijazi Jaradat, and his son Mohammad after ransacking their homes.
In Ethna, west of Hebron, the soldiers broke into several homes belonging to the Jiyyawi family, vandalizing property. No abductions were reported.
Media activist Mohammad Awad stated that the army invaded Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, stormed the municipality building, detained several staff members, blocked their access to work, and confiscated a drone belonging to the engineering department.
Awad added that the soldiers issued summonses to appear before Israeli intelligence to three employees.
Earlier Thursday, Israeli occupation forces launched coordinated invasions across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank, targeting cities, refugee camps, and residential neighborhoods, abducting and detaining dozens of Palestinians, including a former political prisoner, and causing widespread disruption to civilian life.
