In the early hours of Friday, Israeli occupation forces invaded the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part and opened fire on a group of Palestinian youths, injuring one, in addition to occupying one home.
Fathi Hamdan, the head of the Deir Jarir Village Council, stated that the soldiers shot and injured five young men on the road linking Deir Jarir to the neighboring town of Silwad.
Two of the victims sustained moderate injuries, while three others were lightly wounded. One of the injured was detained by Israeli forces before being handed over to paramedics.
Hamdan also reported that Israeli troops sealed off the village’s main entrance for several hours, restricting movement and access.
Furthermore, the army Israeli stormed the village of Beitin, also east of Ramallah, and seized the home of Palestinian resident Sayel Darwish Jaraba, near the illegal colonialist bypass known as Route 60, and converted it into a military outpost.
The occupying forces informed the family they intended to remain in the property for at least three days.
Local sources confirmed that Israeli troops had also invaded several homes and commercial shops in Beitin the previous night, firing stun grenades and tear gas at residents.
These incursions are part of a broader pattern of escalating military aggression and land seizure across central West Bank towns, where civilian infrastructure is routinely targeted and repurposed for military use.
