Israeli occupation authorities issued mass demolition orders on Wednesday targeting residential and agricultural structures and a mosque in the Bedouin communities of Khirbet Jenbah and Khirbet al-Halawah in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
According to local media activist Osama Makhamra, the demolition orders included:
- Two barns and a tent belonging to Maher Ahmad Younes
- Two barns belonging to Issa Younes Mohammad
- A barn belonging to Shaher Ahmad Issa Younes
- A home belonging to Mousa Muhammad Odeh
- A shed and home belonging to Khaled Hussein al-Jabbarin
- A tent belonging to Nabil Hussein al-Jabbarin
- A home belonging to Ali Mohammad al-Jabbarin
- The mosque of Khirbet Jenbah and the adjacent public park
- Two sanitation units belonging to Mousa Ibrahim Mohammad
In Khirbet al-Halawah, Israeli forces delivered final demolition orders for:
- A tent belonging to Salama Abu ‘Arram
- A shelter and kitchen belonging to Muhammad Ahmad Abu ‘Arram
Makhamra stated that these demolition orders are part of a systematic Israeli policy aimed at forcibly emptying pastoral areas in Masafer Yatta to facilitate colonial expansion and the displacement of Palestinian residents from their lands.
