On Sunday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child in the New Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank. Soldiers also shot a young man with live rounds before abducting him near the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Media sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the New Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus, on Sunday afternoon, shooting a 14-year-old Palestinian in the chest with live ammunition.
The child’s condition was described as very serious before he was pronounced dead from a critical gunshot to the chest.
WAFA correspondent reported that the child Islam Ahmad Ajouri, 14, was killed during the Israeli military operation.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian young man after shooting him near the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah.
In a statement, the General Authority for Civil Affairs announced that occupation forces abducted 25-year-old Aws Akram Ma’tan, after shooting him in the leg with live ammunition at the Karamelo roundabout, east of Ramallah.
The condition of the young man was not known at the time of this report; it is unclear whether or not soldiers provided medical treatment for his wounds.
The occupation army released a statement its forces “neutralized” a Palestinian, alleging that the young man “attempted to seize a weapon from an Israeli army soldier.”
There were no reports of any injuries among occupation soldiers, and no further details were provided.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli soldiers and illegal colonizers have killed 90 Palestinians, including 24 children and 6 women in the occupied West Bank.
Among those, 20 have been killed in Ramallah, 20 in Hebron, 19 in Nablus, 10 in Jerusalem, 6 in Tubas, 6 in Jenin, 3 in Bethlehem, 2 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, 2 in Qalqilia, 1 in Salfit and 1 in Tulkarem, according to the Shireen Observatory.
