At Least Five Worshipers Injured by Israeli Police at Al Aqsa

Israeli police, early Friday morning, stormed occupied Jerusalem’s flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, and assaulted Palestinian Muslim worshipers.

Witnesses told WAFA that thousands of Palestinians rallied at the mosque compound following the Fajr Prayer, chanting slogans slamming Israeli intrusions into the site.

They added that scores of police officers stormed the site, chased and assaulted the worshipers, inflicting injuries to dozens. Police opened fire towards the worshipers, injuring at least five with rubber-coated steel bullets, all casualties received medical treatment on site.

Israeli settlers, on a near daily basis enter the compound, under the protection of Israeli police, while at the same, the police prohibit and block Muslim worshiper’s access into the sacred site.
