A blind Palestinian detainee who Israel imprisons continues a hunger strike he started eight days ago; protesting being held under the arbitrary Administrative Detention orders without charges or trial.
The detainee, Ezzeddin Amarna, from Ya’bad town southwest of the northern West bank city of Jenin, decided to hold a hunger strike, protesting his arbitrary detention despite several health conditions he faces.
His wife said Ezzeddin has an ulcer in the stomach and intestines, high blood pressure, leg inflammation, and several issues with his teeth and gums.
She added that her sons Ahmad and Mojahed are also imprisoned by Israel and said Ahmad is held under arbitrary Administrative Detention orders while Mojahed was sentenced to 24 months.
