Illegal Israeli colonizers killed two Palestinians and injured four others, on Tuesday, after attacking the Al-Mughayyir Boys’ School in Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that two citizens, including a child, were killed by Israeli settlers and four others were wounded during an attack on the Al-Mughayyir Boys’ School.
The Ministry stated that the child and student Aws Hamdi Al-Na’san, 13, and the young man Jihad Marzouq Abu Naim, 35, were both killed and four others injured after being shot with live ammunition.
It is worth noting that Aws is the son of Hamdi al‑Na’san, who was fatally shot by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers during a similar attack on the village in 2019.
His uncle, Faraj al‑Na’san, told Al‑Jazeera that his nephew was killed in the same manner as his father during one of the colonizers’ assaults on the village. He added that Aws was targeted in a clearly premeditated attack on the school—the only school in the village that serves students from first grade through the final secondary grade.
For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported the bodies of two slain citizens, and four others to the hospital for live gunshot wounds.
Media sources added that the father of the slain grade nine student Aws Hamdi Al-Naasan was also killed by Israeli colonizers in 2019.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces and settlers have killed 1149 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 239 children and 28 women.
In the Jenin governorate, 311 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 148 in Nablus, 116 in Hebron, 103 in Tubas, 88 in Ramallah, 66 in Jerusalem, 44 in Qalqilia, 37 in Bethlehem, 15 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 8 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.
