A Palestinian child was killed on Tuesday morning, after he was struck by a settler vehicle north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank. A woman succumbed to injuries she sustained in 2023 during the army’s aggression against the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the child Mohammad Majdi Ahmad Al-Ja’bari, 15, was killed on Tuesday after a settler’s vehicle struck him north of Hebron, and Mrs. Raja Fadl Bitawi, 47, succumbed to injuries she sustained in the Jenin refugee camp in 2023.

WAFA correspondent reported that the child Mohammad Majdi Ahmad Al-Ja’bari, 15, died Tuesday morning after a settler vehicle ran over him, while he was riding his bicycle to school at the Beit Einun junction near Hebron.

According to Israeli media reports, the one of the vehicles involved in the incident was part of the “Magen” unit, responsible for securing Israeli ministers and senior government officials.

Israeli Army Radio reported that the vehicle belongs to the security detail of an Israeli minister residing in an illegal colony in the Hebron governorate.

According to paramedics with the Magen David Adom ambulance center who arrived at the scene, the child Ja’bari suffered severe and widespread injuries as a result of being struck by a vehicle.

They added that the boy was unconscious and he was not breathing, and despite medical intervention he was pronounced dead at the scene.

In related news, a Palestinian woman succumbed to injuries she sustained during an Israeli invasion of the Jenin refugee camp in 2023.

Media sources reported that the citizen Raja Fadel Owais, 47, succumbed to a severe head injury she suffered when she was struck in the head with shrapnel.

Owais was seriously injured in 2023 when occupation soldiers detonated the door to her home in the Jenin camp; she remained in a coma in the Ibn Sina Hospital until her death was announced.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces and settlers have killed 1155 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 240 children and 29 women.

In the Jenin governorate, 312 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 148 in Nablus, 118 in Hebron, 103 in Tubas, 90 in Ramallah, 67 in Jerusalem, 44 in Qalqilia, 37 in Bethlehem, 15 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 8 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.
