Earlier Thursday, the Israeli army fired missiles and shells at several parts of the densely populated Gaza Strip, in addition to targeting Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal enclave, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including children.

At least one Palestinian was killed and at least six were injured, some seriously, when the army fired a missile at the Orthopedic Department of the Nasser Medical Center in Khan Younis.

The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the attack was carried out shortly after the army invaded the yards of the medical facility and fired live rounds at various buildings.

Shortly afterward, the Israeli soldiers invaded the medical facility, before forcing dozens of Palestinians and hospital staff, including the doctors and nurses, out of the hospital that was besieged for 23 days.

The army also fired many live rounds at a room where the doctors rest in the hospital, wounding one doctor, medical sources said.

In addition, the army abducted dozens of Palestinians who were forced out of Nasser Hospital while trying to reach Rafah after the soldiers ordered them to head there.

Many Palestinians who were forced out of the medical facility reached Rafah city, the Maan News agency said.`

The situation at the medical facility is disastrous, the Health Ministry said and added that 273 patients who cannot be transferred, 327 members of their families, 18 patients in Intensive Care, 3 newborns in incubators, 35 kidney dialysis patients, 1500 displaced Palestinians, 190 staff members of the medical facility and 299 members of their families, are also at the Nasser Hospital.

Dr. Ashraf Al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said that the hospital will run out of fuel, used to keep electricity generators running, in about 72 hours.

In addition, the Israeli army fired a missile at a mosque, west of Khan Younis, causing serious damage and several casualties.

The Israeli army also fired missiles at areas around Hamad City, northwest of Khan Younis, causing casualties.

In addition, the army fired artillery shells at various parts of Rafah, especially the eastern areas of the city.

In Central Gaza, Israeli missiles killed fifteen Palestinians, including children and injured many in a home for Noweije’ family, west of Nusseirat refugee camp.

In addition, six Palestinians were killed and eighteen were injured by Israeli missiles and shells in the Abu Arban area, behind the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that the army fired barrages of missiles and shells at several areas in the southern parts of Deir Al-Balah.

In Gaza City, the army fired missiles at two cars, killing seven Palestinians, including children; four are from the Al-Ghafri family; Mo’taz Al-Ghafri, his wife and their two children, in Sheikh Radwan area, in addition to three Palestinians near the Asqoula Junction in the city.

Israeli missiles also killed five Palestinians, east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the United States is investigating whether Israel used white phosphorus shells that killed dozens of Palestinians in the Block 6 area of Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, on October 31, 2023.

The attack killed more than 125 Palestinians and injured hundreds; it is believed that Israel might have used a bombing weighing 907 kilograms in the attack.

It said the attack took place in the afternoon while dozens of Palestinians were standing in a long line at a local bakery, in addition to dozens who were in overcrowded small apartments, after fleeing their homes.

American officials told the Wall Street Journal that the State Department is investigating Israeli airstrikes that used White Phosphorus in Gaza and Lebanon, to determine “whether Israel used the American bombs and missiles to kill civilians.”

The Wall Street Journal added that the Biden administration is facing increasing calls from Congress members to put conditions on armed transfer to Israel, especially since it still refuses to place any conditions on the transfer of these weapons.

As Israel continues to bomb every part of the small, destroyed, besieged, and devastated Gaza Strip, the number of slain Palestinians is now more than 28,473, in addition to at least 61,146 wounded Palestinians, including hundreds who suffered serious wounds, and the thousands who remain missing, largely buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, while medics and firefighters are unable to reach them due to constant bombing and massive infrastructure destruction.
