On Saturday, Day 148 of Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians in the destroyed and devastated Gaza Strip, the Israeli army continued the firing of missiles and shells at various parts of the coastal enclave, killing dozens of Palestinians and wounding scores of residents, largely women and children.
The Palestinian Health of Health has confirmed the death of eleven citizens, in addition to the injury of at least fifty, including many children, when the Israeli army fired a missile at tents for displaced Palestinians, west of Rafah, in the southmost part of the Gaza Strip.
The Health Ministry stated that the attack occurred near the main gate of the Emirati Hospital and added that one of the slain Palestinians is a medic, Abdul-Fattah Abu Mer’ery.
Published on: Mar 2, 2024, at 13:24: In Gaza City, the army fired many missiles and shells at homes in several areas, especially Tal Al-Hawa, As-Sabra, and Ad-Daraj, killing at least ten Palestinians and wounding dozens.
In Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, the army fired missiles at two homes, killing fifteen Palestinians, including women and children, and wounding dozens, in addition to many who remain under the rubble as the Palestinians continue to search for potential survivors.
In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the Israeli army fired a missile at a home housing more than 70 Palestinians in the Jabalia refugee camp, killing at least twenty, including women and children, and wounding dozens, before medics and rescue teams rushed to the area to evacuate the dead and the wounded, many of whom buried under the rubble.
The attack led to at least two deaths and many injuries, while the Palestinians continued to look under the rubble.
In Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, the army fired artillery shells at Palestinians collecting weeds and plants to eat, killing at least three and wounding seven.
Sources at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza said the number of children who died at the medical facility due to dehydration, malnutrition and the lack of medicine and medical supplies, has reached 13; the latest casualty was a newborn, Hiha Ziyada.
In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and artillery shells killed two Palestinians, and injured at least fifteen, including children, in the central and the eastern parts of the city.
Also, many Palestinians were injured when the army fired a missile at Abu Srour Street in Bani Soheila town, east of Khan Younis.
In Rafah, the southmost part of the Gaza Strip, an Israeli missile from a drone struck a car in the Shaboura neighborhood, killing two Palestinians and wounding several others.
It is worth mentioning that the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, stated that the Israeli army’s massive bombings of the Gaza Strip have led to the death of five Israeli captives, including what it called “a friend of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” a report from Al-Jazeera said.
On its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said its fighters downed an Israeli Hermes 900 Kochav drone, after firing a missile at it in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.
The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the army “committed 10 massacres against families in Gaza, killing 92 Palestinians and wounding 156.
On Friday, the Israeli army committed sixteen massacres against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, killing 193 Palestinians, including many children and wounds, and wounding hundreds, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
The Maan News Agency quoted senior Egyptian sources stating that Israel has “agreed to halt the war during the Month of Ramadan through a 40-day ceasefire as an initial step that begins on the first day of Ramadan.
Maan added that the deal would include the release of 40 Israeli captives in Gaza, elders, and children, and in return, Israel could release 400 Palestinian detainees, including women and children, and would allow the entry of 60.000 mobile homes and 120.000 tents in addition to allowing the entry of 500 aid trucks daily.
The Egyptian sources did not explain what would happen after the 40-day ceasefire ends but said that the second stage is still being discussed, however, there are no clear guidelines for potential future deals.
The sources stated that “what is clear is that there would be creature during Ramadan, and a partial prisoner-swap deal would be held.”
It is worth mentioning that Israel demanded Hamas, through mediators, to present a list of all Israeli captives who are still alive, especially since the ongoing and extensive Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip has, so far, killed seventy Israelis.
Israel also handed the Egyptian mediators a list of Palestinian detainees, serving high terms, including multiple life sentences, who would be released under the deal.
Initial figures revealed that Israel has now killed at least 30.320 Palestinians, including at least 12.300 children and 8.327 women, and injured more than 71.533, including 8.663 children and 6.327 women, in addition to more than 8.000 missing Palestinians. The army also abducted more than 4.000 Palestinians.
Israeli missiles and shells also destroyed or damaged 360.000 residential units, 392 educational facilities, 267 places of worship, and displaced more than 2 Million of the 2.2 million Palestinians in the coastal enclave.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers have killed 418, (14 of them were killed by colonizers) including 109 children, and injured 4.650, while the army abducted 7.270 Palestinians and destroyed 637 structures. The Israeli army is still holding the bodies of 65 slain Palestinians.
