On Friday, Day 188 of the ongoing Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the army continued the bombing and shelling of various parts of the destroyed and starved coastal enclave, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.

The army fired many missiles and shells at densely populated areas in the Gaza Strip and struck schools and facilities where families tried to shelter, in addition to initiating a massive invasion of the areas near the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, to control the man corridor it is expanding between the northern and the southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

At least five Palestinians were killed and more than thirty were injured when the army fired a missile at a home in the Zarqa area, in the center of Gaza City.

The army also fired shells at areas in the northern part of the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, killing two Palestinians, and wounding many, some seriously.

Furthermore, the Israeli army fired a missile at the minaret of a mosque in the Nusseirat refugee camp, immediately after the call for prayer started.

In the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza, the army fired a missile at a home in Makki Junction, causing several casualties.

The soldiers also fired many missiles at homes and buildings in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, killing and wounding many Palestinians.

At least one child was killed, and many Palestinians were injured when the soldiers opened fire at families in the northern area of the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.

In Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, the army fired shells at homes, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, in addition to firing many missiles at the Tal Az-Za’tar area. Casualties were also reported after the army bombarded Al-Banat Street in Beit Hanoun.

In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in several parts of the city.

Palestinian Civil Defense teams located the decaying bodies of ten Palestinians under the rubble of bombarded homes in the Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis evacuated dozens of wounded residents and are looking under the rubble for slain or injured Palestinians.

In addition, casualties were reported when the army fired many missiles at the Al-Fukhari, southeast of Khan Younis.

Furthermore, the army fired many missiles and shells at homes in Rafah, including in the area near the Rafah Border Terminal with Egypt.

Israeli Channel 12 said leaked information from Israeli negotiators revealed that Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is obstructing the efforts to reach a potential ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement, adding that the current pace of talks could take a year.

It quoted Israeli negotiators stating that they would “carry an authorization for a deal in the morning before Netanyahu obstructs it in the evening.”

On its part, Netanyahu’s office said the Prime Minister is acting on returning the abducted Israelis, and alleged that Hamas is the party obstructing the deal.

UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator, James Eugene McGoldrick, said during a video press conference from occupied Jerusalem, that communicable diseases are rapidly spreading in Gaza, especially due to the lack of water and high weather temperature.

Shortly after visiting Gaza, McGoldrick said many diseases are spreading in the water as the Palestinians have no access to clean water for drinking and sanitation.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the army committed eight massacres against Palestinian families in Gaza, killing at least 89 and wounding more than 120 in 24 hours, and added that the numbers are only those who were evacuated to hospitals and do not include the dozens who remain under the rubble, or on destroyed streets and in alleys.

Israel has now killed at least 33.634 and injured more than 76.214, mostly women and children, in several parts of the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
